I focused on three pillars: white-glove onboarding that accelerated time-to-value, data-driven account management using KPIs and health scores, and a tight feedback loop between customers and product/engineering teams.

Used automation for routine communications while saving white-glove touches for critical moments. Built data dashboards so customers could self-serve. Leveraged automation to optimize workflows. Designed every system with 10x growth in mind. Lean doesn't mean cheap โ it means intentional.
The Results
Over 2-3 years, TaxJar Plus grew from $2M to $17M ARR โ 8.5x growth. High retention rates through proactive account management. Minimal churn despite rapid growth. Increased LTV through better onboarding and customer enablement.
